Kyrenia is a wonderful place to spend your holiday in North Cyprus, from its famous harbour to the historical castle, there is always something to do for all ages and interests. There are so many local shops, restaurants and bars in Kyrenia to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice if you decide to be tempted away from the Arkin Colony Hotel’s fantastic rooftop pool.
Kyrenia Castle should definitely be on your list of places to visit during your holiday in North Cyprus. Featuring one of the world’s oldest shipwrecks, the castle dates from the time of the Byzantines and subsequently enlarged and strengthened by the Lusignans and then the Venetians, the castle is now home to many historical artefacts.
Guests at the hotel can take advantage of the complimentary shuttle service to Escape Beach, which departs at 11 am and returns at 5 pm. This sandy beach is located just a 15-minute drive away and is home to a beach bar where you can enjoy refreshing cocktails, take in the stunning sea views, and soak up the Mediterranean sun.
