Denizkizi Hotel is a beachfront hotel on the northern shore of Cyprus near Alsancak, set above a sheltered sandy cove with panoramic views across the Mediterranean and the Kyrenia mountain range. Denizkizi sits on one of the most scenic and well-connected stretches of the North Cyprus coastline. Kyrenia harbour — widely regarded as one of the most beautiful harbour towns in the entire Mediterranean — is just 20 minutes away. With its bobbing fishing boats, Venetian castle, vibrant waterfront and cafés that spill out onto the water's edge long into the evening, it is simply one of those places that stays with you. Frequent local buses run directly from the hotel, so a hire car is never necessary.
Just 10 minutes away, Lapta offers a lovely coastal walk along the shoreline as well as a relaxed selection of waterfront restaurants and bars that are popular with locals — always a good sign. The hilltop village of Karmi is around 15 minutes inland and one of North Cyprus's most charming and least-visited spots, with stone houses draped in bougainvillea, flower-filled lanes and a village pub that feels a world away from the coast below.
